Below is the write up submitted by our school-based technology specialist Karen Baxter.

"Last night our remarkable ESOL team provided the students and families of Lynbrook with a special evening that celebrated the diversity and beauty of our community. This Multicultural Night is an annual event which these teachers work tirelessly to organize. There were stations with games from around the world, cultural display boards, international flags to color, food tasting, dancing, a fashion show where families could show off their native dress, family portraits were taken where students will extend their learning with Photoshop, artwork around the school created by students, etc. You could see the pride on the faces of the families as they came together to share in this evening where diversity was celebrated. Our families from Vietnam, Afghanistan, El Salvador, Peru, Honduras, Mexico, Senegal, Ethiopia, Pakistan, and other nations found acceptance at this event. Our ESOL team truly understands how to support our children and community!"
