Lynbrook Staff and Families,

The Region 6 Leadership Team is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Heber Paredes as the principal of Lynbrook Elementary School, effective August 8, 2024. 

Mr. Paredes brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership to our community.  He holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Loyola University Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education from Washington Adventist University, equipping him with the expertise to lead our diverse and dynamic school. 

Having previously served as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Lynbrook Elementary, Mr. Paredes has already established strong relationships within the community. His collaboration with the leadership team on the School Improvement Plan, redesigning the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process, and implementing a tailored intervention block across all grade levels has resulted in significant improvements in student achievement and a reduction in chronic absenteeism from 28% to 14%. His unwavering dedication has created a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and families.

A dedicated leader and lifelong learner, Mr. Paredes values collaboration with all stakeholders. He is committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and the broader community to foster a welcoming and joyful educational setting. His compassionate approach and dedication to professional development, family engagement, and cultural competency ensure an inclusive and equitable environment at Lynbrook Elementary.

With his experience and enthusiasm for educational excellence, Mr. Paredes is eager to lead Lynbrook Elementary School to new heights. He is dedicated to providing the support and resources necessary for students and families to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, while also supporting staff in meeting the diverse needs of the Lynbrook community.
